What do buy and sell mean in this table?
Buy is what we pay you for your foreign cash, sell is what you pay us for it. A tourist arriving with dollars looks at the buy column: on 4 September 2026 that column shows 32.5 THB for a 100 USD note. A resident who needs dollars before a trip looks at the sell column instead.
Every figure in the table is baht per one unit of the currency.
Why does the USD rate depend on the note?
Large clean notes carry the better rate because Thai banks and wholesale buyers pay more for them. Small and worn notes cost more to process, so the rate drops with the denomination.
USD is quoted in three tiers on 4 September 2026: 50-100 notes at 32.5 THB, 5-20 notes at 32.33 THB, 1-2 notes at 31.84 THB. Yuan follows the same logic.
Pre-2006 white-series dollars are accepted at a lower rate than the blue notes of later series. Photograph the note in chat and we will price it before you set off.
Is the rate on this page final?
No. The figures here come from the rate snapshot of 4 September 2026 and serve as a reference while you plan the trip. The number that matters is the one we confirm for your amount in WhatsApp or Telegram.
After you confirm an amount in chat, CAT Exchange holds that rate for 60 minutes. The quote is a net rate: the commission is already inside it and nothing is added for counting the cash or handing it over.
How do I calculate my amount?
Multiply the sum by the buy rate for that denomination. For 1,000 USD in 100-dollar notes on 4 September 2026, the arithmetic is 1 000 × 32.5 THB. The same 1,000 dollars in 5 and 10 dollar notes goes through 32.33 THB instead, which is why mixed envelopes give two different totals.
Euro and pound cash need no tier check, so 500 EUR converts through 37.71 THB and 500 GBP through 43.99 THB. Russian cash roubles are bought at 0.315 THB per rouble, and a Russian bank transfer through SBP is quoted separately on the SBP transfer page.

FAQ
How often do the rates change?
The table is refreshed from our rate feed and carries the snapshot date next to it. Between refreshes the market keeps moving, so we confirm the working rate in chat.
Do you charge commission on top of the rate?
No. The rate you confirm in chat is a net rate with commission already inside it, and counting or handing over the baht costs nothing extra. Delivery outside Bang Tao is priced separately.
Can I lock a rate before I arrive on Phuket?
You can lock it for 60 minutes, not for days. Write to us when you are close to the office or ready for delivery, confirm the sum, and the rate is fixed for that hour.
Which rate applies to a large amount?
Large sums are quoted individually. For an SBP transfer the threshold is 50,000 THB, above which the rate is set for the specific deal. For cash, send the currency and the amount and we will answer with the number for that size.
