What is the euro rate in Bang Tao today?

How much baht do 200, 500 and 1,000 euros give?

Multiply and stop there. The quoted number is a net rate, with counting and handling already inside it, so nothing is deducted at the counter.

That predictability is the practical reason many European visitors bring euros rather than converting to dollars at home. Two conversions cost two spreads. One conversion, done in Phuket, costs one.

Is the 500 euro note accepted?

Ask before you come. The 500 euro note has not been issued since 2019, though it remains legal tender across the eurozone, and Thai banks handle it more cautiously than the smaller denominations.

What about worn or damaged euro notes?

Same procedure, same answer: by agreement. Cashiers check every note for tears, tape, ink, stamps and water damage, because the Thai bank that receives the cash afterwards runs the same check.

Nothing here is a refusal in advance. A note with a soft fold and a note missing a corner are different cases, and each one is decided on the photo or at the counter. Clean flat notes never raise the question at all.

Do you need a passport for a euro exchange?

Yes. Thai law requires a licensed money changer to identify every customer exchanging cash on the premises, so bring the passport itself rather than a photo of it.

How long does the rate hold after you confirm it?
